Popular Tennis Tournaments

Tennis is one of the most globally popular sports played today, as well as one of the most- often watched. The Grand Slam tournaments are the four most well-known, and the series begins in January with the Australian Open in Melbourne where the games take place on a hard court. This is followed by the French Open, played in Paris on a clay court. Wimbledon, the most well-known tennis tournament in the world, follows. It takes place in London on a grass court during June and July. Finally, the US Open ends the Grand Slam in New York City on a hard court. These four tournaments are the most- anticipated tennis events of every year, both for the players and for those who love to watch them.
