How to Volley

So you play tennis, but your volley is awful. To learn how to volley correctly, you need to know the right way to grip your racquet. You also need to know the proper stances and the way to drive the tennis ball.
First: Pick your grip
Racquets have four main sides as well as four main bevels. The continental grip is used when you place the bottom of your index finger on bevel one, and rest your forefinger on top of the handle. The palm of your hand is at a 45 degree angle. When you hit a volley using this grip you have more power. The face of your racquet is balanced and your strike zone is low. Many professional players use this grip to volley.
Second: Pick your stance
Open stance is the best position to hit a volley. Just turn your upper body at an angle, and bring your racquet to position. Both of your feet are similar to the base line. This is the perfect stance for people who do not move well. In addition, it prevents your opponent from taking a huge reaction swing.
Third: Drive the ball
Observe the movement of the ball as it leaves your opponents racquet. Using a solid racquet, hit the ball with force as you move forward. If this swing is too awkward, put your left leg forward so you can end in a closed stance. Practice makes perfect!! Continue to work on your swing to improve your aim, and master the volley.
